SKID ROW Explain Rochester Cancellation
September 9, 2003SKID ROW have issued the following statement regarding their decision to cancel their previously announced gig in Rochester, New York on September 4:
"We were told that we were playing a rock 'club' with a stage 20' x 10' in size. (very small but we've done it before) The club owner told that to the promoter, the promoter told our agent and our agent told us. What we found was a jut in the wall that wouldn't fit our drum set let alone the rest of our gear and a dance floor with a railing around it. To go with that was a PA that had one side facing a wall. Obviously someone was misinformed. It would have sounded horrible and looked worse. When we told this to the owner he told us that that wasn't important. We disagreed. We want to be at our best at all times because you deserve that. Playing under those circumstances would not have allowed us to do so.
"In our career, we have never cancelled a show due to a situation like this. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. It was a hard decision to make but we will stand by it.
"Hope to see you all again, SKID ROW"
